There’s been a big push lately to enjoy video games seamlessly on both PC and consoles. For instance, Microsoft revealed their Play Anywhere feature during this year’s E3 expo. Essentially, gamers can enjoy their Microsoft exclusive video games on both the Xbox One and PC. Now Sony has revealed that their PlayStation Now service will be moving onto the PC platform.
For those of you who are unaware of what PlayStation Now is, this has been Sony’s answer to backward compatibility for the PlayStation 4. Gamers can pay a subscription fee to enjoy a large library of PlayStation 3 video game titles right from a Sony server. There’s no downloading required for PlayStation Now video game titles, instead, gamers simply have to connect online and keep up with their subscription payments.
There are hundreds of PlayStation 3 video game titles being offered for gamers to enjoy on the PlayStation Now service and for the most part, gamers were forced to use select devices for the service such as a PlayStation 4 console or select Samsung Smart TVs.
Now according to a recent posting on the official PlayStation Blog, gamers can pick up a package deal for $24.99 that will come with a DualShock 4 USB Wireless Adapter that will allow gamers to connect their DualShock 4 controller to their PC.
This adapter will be launching early this September and there are a few PC recommendations before gamers are able to jump on and enjoy some classic PlayStation 3 video game titles.
