The folks over at Team17 are bringing back the classic Worms series to a new generation of consoles. Worms W.M.D is now available, and in the launch trailer you get a chance to see what destruction and mayhem is in store for you.

One of the most eye-catching features of this new game is the design choice of making hand-drawn 2D visuals this time around. The lasting result of it seems to be a more expressive and cartoon gameplay look, such as seeing the worms scream and react to the unfolding battles. Other features of the game include vehicles and buildings as a gameplay mechanic, giving you more variety in how you travel around the map and an additional tactical strategy to how you survive the Worms battle. On top of all that, you can craft weapons and other items at any point during yours or the enemy’s turn. You’ll be able to put together some of the game’s new weapons like: Party Balloons, Electric Sheep, and the Concrete Angry Donkey. Don’t worry – if you would rather like to fall back on some of the more familiar and classic weapons in the Worms series, they’re back in this game too.

Worms W.M.D is available now on PC (Mac/Linux), PS4, and Xbox One. To learn more about the game, check out the developer’s website, Twitter, and Facebook.
