This week marks the release of the sort-of (but not really) AAA exploration/survival title No Man’s Sky. Considering the hype for this title created by Sony, you’d think discounts wouldn’t hit the console gaming market until later this holiday season, but in actuality there’s already an offer on the table. Digital retailer NewEgg has come up with an impressive release week 20% mark down on No Man’s Sky.
- No Man’s Sky (PS4) — $47.99 (list $60)
- No Man’s Sky (Steam) — $59.99 (no discounts yet)
- PS4 Black Ops 3 Bundle + No Man’s Sky + Uncharted 4 — $399.99 (list $470)
- PlayStation 4 Console — $279.99 (list $350)
You’ll notice the NewEgg deal comes via their eBay store rather than their own retail site. Perhaps its a marketing strategy they’ve got, or a way to skirt around MSRP rules. Whatever the case the deal is legit and selling at good clip with over 693 sold at the time of writing (about 70% of their stock).
In case you need a PlayStation 4 to go along with No Man’s Sky there are actually some decent offers this week as well. On eBay Deals a brand new PS4 is selling for only $279.99 with free shipping in the US which is the lowest price of the Summer. NewEgg’s eBay page also has a PS4 bundle avialable for $399.99 with Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, No Man’s Sky, and Uncharted 4 – a $70 bonus value.
Last and certainly least is the lack of discounts on No Man’s Sky on PC. You’d think a digital only product, like a Steam key, might have a discount pop up online somewhere, but the case is nada from legitimate retailers. The only hope is if you have a GMG credit to burn and find a discount that way.
