Aw, Nintendo. Why won’t you let us have any fun?
It appears that the news will continue to die down until E3’s opening day, June 3rd. Why, you ask? Well, because it appears Nintendo has begun issuing what Vigil Games’ creative manager Jeremy Greiner calls a “strict gag order.”
“Nintendo’s put a full gag on everything until E3,” the developer said.
“If I didn’t have a strict gag order on me, I’d love to talk about all the great features that we have. but what I can tell you is that it’s a next generation platform, and you should keep your eyes open.”
While this instance is only pertinent to Darksiders 2 and its Wii-U-related features, it speaks in volumes how much Nintendo wants to keep under wraps at this point in time. Many would argue they’ve stolen the show for the past two years, and they probably want to keep that momentum going.
“But speaking to specific features or tech effects – well, that’s in Nintendo’s playground right now. And I know that they have plans for E3.”
It goes without saying we are extremely excited to see what Nintendo has planned, and their quietness only has our salivary glands all the more active.
