If you were trying to enjoy a video game through Battle.net last night then chances are you were unsuccessful. For a good portion of the night, depending on where you’re located, of course, Blizzard.net was down due to a series of DDOS attacks. Now a hacking group has claimed responsibility for the outage that has stirred plenty of gamers into frustration.

As mentioned, a number of gamers were unsuccessful in logging in a variety of Blizzard games last night. This ranged from Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, World of Warcraft, to even the recent release of Overwatch.

The issue was due to a number of DDOS attacks that kicked plenty of gamers off the servers during gameplay. While Blizzard was taking notice of the issue and alerting gamers through Battle.net, their official forums, to their Twitter account, it was unknown just who was behind the attacks.

Now a hacking group known as PoddleCorp has made suggestions that it was their doing. In fact, a tweet was sent out that demanded a particular account received at least ten thousand followers before they will allow Blizzard to come back online.

For now, Blizzard is in working shape, but that doesn’t mean PoddleCorp is finished. A new tweet states that they are planning on switching attack to another gaming network soon.
