Players Can Use Shaders on Class Items Again in Destiny: Rise of Iron

July 31, 2016 by Kris Kittie

Players will be able to upgrade their style with class items being affected by shaders once again.

CojjaBJUIAEAPnzRise of Iron will launch in September, which means players can once again customize their class items. In Year One, players who had Hunter characters would most notably use these Shaders to change the colors on their cloaks.

Bungie game directed Chris Barrett announced this news yesterday via Twitter.

“Wouldn’t it be cool if class items were affected by shaders again in Rise of Iron? We thought so too.” Barrett tweeted.

The option of using shaders on class items was made available during Year One, but was seemingly was removed during Year Two, but the reason for this change is unknown.

Shaders are handed out as mission rewards in raids, Crucible matches, raids hitting a rep level with a faction, or can be purchased from a vendor.

Some class items can be rare or Legendary, while other shaders are unique and tied to rewarded during events such as Iron Banner.

Destiny: Rise of Iron will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 20th.
