Sword & Sworcery Art Assets Now Available to Everyone

May 11, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

In an act of cosmic friendship, Superbrothers has released a batch of assets used in the game for everyone to use.

Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery is one of the most highly acclaimed independently developed games to grace both the iOS and the PC. Since it came out, Sworcery has also seen the release of an official soundtrack by Jim Guthrie, who scores all the music in the game.

Today, Superbrothers has put out a batch of official Sworcery artwork, "to be used as inspiration or reference" by any would-be designer.

Titled poopsock.zip, the file carries the art, typography, characters, backgrounds and a variety of other assets used in the game proper.

Superbrothers encourages anyone who downloads it to "interpret the ideas & themes of the Sword & Sworcery project to use in your own distinct A/V style to create something in the 'key of sworcery'."
