More Battlefield DLC is now available for free as part of EA’s “Road to Battlefield 1” campaign, which is in preparation for the new Battlefield game, which is slated for release on October 21st 2016. Naval Strike normally retails for $15, but is now free for all aforementioned consoles.
The Naval Strike DLC at the time of its initial released in 2014 introduced four new multiplayer maps, five new weapons, two gadgets, and a new hovercraft vehicle that can be ridden on both land and sea. The Carrier Assault mode is an homage to Battlefield 2142‘s Titan mode, which was very popular at the time.
EA is also giving away DLC for Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline. A public beta for Battlefield 1 is set to begin sometime this summer and Rush mode has been confirmed by DICE to be returning to the game.
