Call of Duty Still on For PlayStation Vita

April 30, 2012 by Ron Taylor

Activision still has plans to bring the Call of Duty franchise to the PS Vita.

At E3 2009 Sony made it a point to let attendees of their press conference know that Resident Evil was coming to the PSP. The game never materialized with many suspecting it was canceled with Resident Evil: Revelations for the 3DS rising from it's ashes thereafter.

Sony did it again at last year's E3 announcing a Call of Duty title was in development for the PlaySation Vita. Just as before, things have been silent since.

Until today.

Tweets made by Activision's Dan Amrich (via Vivid Gamer) reveal the title is still coming.

Amrich says says he knows nothing about the studio handling it or which years iteration it's based on, but with the Vita having a currently barren list of holiday released, I'd bet on an E3 reveal of a Vita port of Black Ops II that then ships day-and-date with the console and PC SKUs.
