Little has been learned about the state of Batman: Return to Arkham‘s development, since it was announced that the game’s release date was “indefinitely” delayed for the foreseeable future. But recently some small tidbits of information has surfaced.
According to a Eurogamer report, the “delayed indefinitely” state of Batman: Return to Arkham has a window of November this year at the earliest. The quality of the port itself was brought into question, as the delay seems to be centered around framerate as a big concern from the Virtuous Games port of the title.
Eurogamer went as far as to check back in with Warner Bros as to the state of the game. “After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has decided to delay the release of Batman: Return to Arkham to give the team at Virtuous Games additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience,” they told them.
Set to release on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, Batman: Return to Arkham remasters the first two Batman Arkham titles, with all the DLC included. Coming eventually. If you were looking for a new experience in this game series, you should check out the Batman Arkham VR project announcements.
