Star Trek: The Original Series will reach it’s 50th anniversary this September, and Star Trek Online plans to commemorate the occasion with their Agents of Yesterday expansion that was just released.
Voice actors from numerous Star Trek TV series have lent their likenesses for this update. Star Trek: The Original Series’ Chekov and Montgomery Scott come back thanks to Walter Koening and Chris Doohan (James’ son). As well as Enterprise’s Temporal Agent Daniels, voiced by Matt Winston, in addition to Chase Masterson doing the voice-over work for Admiral Leeta from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
This expansion includes new missions, starships from every era of the universe, a Temporal Agent specialization tree (you need to make sure the timelines are protected against people scheming to destroy the past), as well as new special task force missions to complete with other members of the game community. You can play Star Trek Online for free on PC right now, and PS4 and Xbox One users will be able to jump in starting in Fall 2016. For all the latest updates, tune into the game’s website, Twitter, and Facebook.
