The cult classic, Carmageddon, is back with the latest installment being Carmageddon: Max Damage. Today gamers and longtime fans of the original franchise can pick it up for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles.
After a press release that was sent over earlier today, we were alerted that Carmageddon: Max Damage is available today for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The video game can be picked up at a number of retail locations such as GameStop, Best Buy, Target, along with Wal-Mart.
Since its first debut in 1997, Carmageddon continues to draw fans for the highly destructive races and brutally fast vehicles. According to the press release, the singleplayer alone for the game will include over sixty events across six different event types, such as Classic Carma, Death Race, Car Crusher, Ped Chase, Checkpoint Stampede, and lastly Fox ‘n’ Hounds.
Destruction is still a key aspect for the latest Carmageddon installment, as gamers can expect to see the real-time destruction of vehicles being crushed, ragdoll physics, and environmental damage. Though the game was first brought into development thanks to its Kickstarter campaign, backers were able to get the game on both console and PC release.
Within the press release, it only states the launch for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with PC likely to follow soon though there is no word about the platform yet. Take a look at the trailer for Carmageddon: Max Damage posted above along with some screenshots down below.
