Tetsuya Nomura is at it again with teasing The World Ends With You fans about a sequel. Previously he had mentioned that the appearance of TWEWY characters could mean something is coming. Now he's taken that a step further and is thinking of the game as a “series”. In an interview with Nintendo Dream, Nomura said that recording voice acting for Rhyme was “out of consideration of the future of The World Ends With You series.”
Nomura continued saying that he couldn't “say anything at present. But there is probably something”. Quite the subtle hint there Mr. Nomura. So it seems like TWEWY fans can expect a sequel for the game. It's quite possible that Nomura has something else in mind for TWEWY but all leads seem to be pointing to a sequel.
