NES Controller Coffee Table is Also a Giant, Working Controller

April 16, 2012 by Elizabeth DeLoria

No, really. You can plug it into your NES and play games on it.

If you ever find yourself with $3,500 USD laying around that you can’t figure out how to get rid of, don’t go out and waste it on 3,500 $1 tacos. Instead, why not spend it on what is possibly the best coffee table ever?

While Charles Lushear’s Nintendo Controller Coffee Table is expensive and can easily be mistaken as just another ‘quirky’ piece of furniture, remember that appearances can be deceiving. This coffee table is actually a working controller.

Made from maple, mahogany and walnut with dovetail joinery and mid century modern legs, the coffee table features working, oversized buttons that you can pound with your entire fist. Obviously compatible with the NES, USB capabilities are also available, with Wii compatibility currently being researched.

Each table is made to order and takes around 4-6 weeks to be completed. Shipping is available for an additional cost, and you can order yours here.
