For anybody who had previously forgotten this month's PlayStation classic on PS+, you'll be glad to know that Silent Hill is now available to download entirely free of charge. Go back to the where it all began; re-experience the fog covered streets filled with evil monsters, your only weapons a broken radio and a crow bar, and unveil the mysteries behind your daughter's disappearance.
Previously available only in the States, there was a week's delay for anybody wanting to play the game in Europe. It's not the first time there have been problems with the game in these territories, with it being available very shortly during 2009 and then removed, only being returned at the end of 2011.
I must say it's aged quite nicely, although granted it was a relatively late addition to the original PlayStation's library. Animations are fairly slick, snow falls constantly from the sky and loading times aren't too bad. If you're on the fence about the recently released Silent Hill Collection, this is your chance to see if the games are for you.
