Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition Confirmed for PC

April 11, 2012

The new version of Dark Souls will come with all new content.

Dark Souls will be heading to the PC and we know it for sure thanks to a confirmation by Namco Bandai at its press conference in Las Vegas today. From Software director Hidetaka Miyazaki confirmed that the game will be released for PC gamers with additional content.

The game's box art did however come tagged with a "Games for Windows" logo, which may or may not imply that the game is running Microsoft's awful app. Presumably however, the game will run on Steam due to the fact that Namco's already on there—and Microsoft has shown no interest in the game, or the publisher behind it.

The new version of Dark Souls will be available digitally and at select retailers. No other details about the game have been revealed. Pray they do as good a job with it as Remedy did with Alan Wake on the PC.

Namco Bandai confirmed in the presser that the PC version of Dark Souls will be released on August 24, so keep your eyes out for the game.
