Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment May Hold Future E3 Briefings

June 22, 2016 by Dennis Patrick

It all depends on their video game lineup.

wb

E3 is a massive video game expo that gathers all the biggest names from the industry in order to showcase their future video game lineups. This year’s E3 event just wrapped up and throughout the E3 week, we saw new video game reveals, gameplay footage, and even some details on the upcoming Xbox One consoles. However, in the future, a new contender may be interested in holding their own E3 briefings.

Every year during E3 there is a number of different briefings that highlights a specific companies particular video game lineups and hardware. Last year we saw briefings in various formats from companies such as Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony, EA, and Bethesda. We may be able to add Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to that list in the future.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment president David Haddad spoke with VentureBeat and discussed his possible interest in seeing Warner Bros. hold their own E3 briefing. Ultimately, it comes down to the video games set to be revealed and shown off.

“For us, it’s mostly slate-driven. You look at the people that have meaningful press conferences, the big publishers–there’s a slate that holds that together. I believe that could be in our future. It didn’t make sense for us this year.”

There are plenty of video game titles that the Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment name is attached to. This includes Injustice, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, along with a slew of Lego and Batman video games. While during this year’s E3 event Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment may not have the most abundant video game lineup to showcase, this could change by this time next year.
