Earlier this week we discussed the idea of a Mortal Kombat crossover with the Microsoft exclusive title Killer Instinct. Today, Xbox head Phil Spencer commented on the matter stating that he loves the idea. Perhaps we’ll see this crossover video game enter development after all, though only time will tell.
As mentioned, earlier this week a fan reached out to Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon on the possibility fans would see a new fighting crossover title featuring Mortal Kombat characters. To be more specific, the fan asked if Mortal Kombat and Killer Instinct could ever crossover in the future.
Ed Boon has since commented back on Twitter suggesting that while he loves Killer Instinct, the game would ultimately become an exclusive title for Microsoft’s Xbox One and Windows 10 platform. That doesn’t mean we won’t see a crossover happen, but the likelihood of this crossover actually entering development seemed rather grim.
That is until today when Xbox head Phil Spencer chimed in on his two cents. Phil Spencer took to Twitter and tweeted out to Ed Boon stating that he loves the idea of a Killer Instinct and Mortal Kombat crossover. Perhaps this will become a reality after all with both parties tweeting out their love of this IP to become a reality.
I loves me some KI but a crossover would have to be Xbox exclusive. https://t.co/bb69z4gQCw

Again, this does not confirm that we will see the two IPs crossover anytime soon. Because Phil Spencer and Ed Boon are both on the subject of this crossover, we want to hear your thoughts on the matter. Let us know what you think of the potential game by leaving a comment down below.
