Fable Fortune Secures Game Development Funding

June 21, 2016 by Nick Monroe

Fable Fortune fortunately funded for foreseeable future.

FableFortuneFeaturedFable Fortune has canceled their Kickstarter. But this story has a happy ending, and we’ll be hearing more from Flaming Fowl Studios and their Fable computer card game in the months to come.

Not all Kickstarter success stories come from meeting their pledge goal in time. Occasionally, the campaign in itself is enough for some video game studios to gain the credibility and proof of interest needed in their design to secure funding from an outside source.

Such is the case with Fable Fortune, according to their latest announcement. They opened up by saying they were very pleased watching people play the game in it’s early alpha state, happy to see their years of hard work come to finally have results.

It’s in this spirit that today we can share some amazing news with you. Thanks to your enthusiasm and support, we are happy to announce that we’ve successfully secured additional development funding! This, alongside our ongoing personal investment, will mean that we can continue to improve the game and allow even more of you to start playing.

With the immediate future of Fable Fortune now secure, we have taken the decision to end our Kickstarter campaign early to focus on releasing a Closed Beta build as quickly as possible. As we’ve always stated, we want to make this game with your help, your feedback and your input. We have huge plans for Fortune and we know that whatever happens in the future, it all started with our already incredible community.

So the basic road-map for the game’s release is virtually unchanged, and now Flaming Fowl Studios is shifting their focus to crafting a Closed Beta as soon they can. A balance update to the Alpha is expected to come sometime beforehand, additionally.

If you’re interested in participating in Fable Fortune’s closed beta program, sign up here. Updates for development can be seen on the game’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
