A press release was sent out earlier today that reveals the Turtle Beach company has had a breakthrough when it comes to sound technology. Today the company has announced the HyperSound Glass, which is a new audio product that allows audio to be produced through a transparent pane of glass. This opens the door for a wide range of new and exciting products that deals with audio.
According to Juergen Stark, CEO of Turtle Beach Corporation, this new technology is a massive breakthrough.
“The advancements the HyperSound team is making with directional audio are simply amazing – some of the biggest breakthroughs in audio technology to come along in decades.”
The new technology was first shown off in the YouTube video posted above although the press release did state that the technology will be demoed at this year’s Electronics Entertainment Expo, or otherwise known as E3.
HyperSound is a new technology that generates a narrow beam of audio in the air and with the technology implemented with glass, there are limitless possibilities on where we could see this technology be used next. For instance, HyperSound could be used in desktop monitors, televisions, dashboards, practically anything that holds glass.
We’re thrilled to see just how this technology is implemented in the near future, but for now, take a look at the reveal demo video posted above.
