The first official teaser for the upcoming sequel to Watch Dogs, Watch Dogs 2 has been uploaded online. Ubisoft has revealed that the official trailer premiere for Watch Dogs 2 will be coming this Wednesday, June 8, 2016. Nothing has been officially revealed for the video game yet, but we at least won’t have to wait until E3 to get some concrete information.
Watch Dogs was a new IP that released back in 2014 for last generation and current generation consoles. Overall, this was an open world action-adventure title that follows a hacker in his attempt to revenge the killing of his niece.
Despite the overwhelmingly positive reception for when the game was first revealed, there was a ton of controversy upon the game launch. It was quickly discovered that the graphical effects were greatly tweaked and lowered compared to when the game saw its E3 reveal.
Nevertheless, a sequel could prove promising though we’ll have to wait until Wednesday in order to really find out just what Ubisoft has in store for us this time around. According to various rumors that have spread online, Watch Dogs 2 will be taking place in San Francisco and will follow a hacker named Marcus.
Ubisoft has stated in the past that Watch Dogs 2 will see a release before May 2017, although that very well could change. We’re sure that the Wednesday reveal trailer will give some solid details about the game though more information will likely follow during this year’s E3.
