GTA 6 has once again done a big crossover for mainstream exposure, but this time it wasn’t as glamorous as debuting on Netflix.
The latest episode of South Park, exclusive to Paramount+, showed some clips from the game, and yes, they refer to it as a GTA 6 preview.
As RockstarIntel explains, they first share a clip of Jason and Lucia driving, which comes from the Extended Look. We then see an original clip of Jason walking on Vice beach.
Contextually, a woman is sharing the GTA 6 clip and describing what we see on screen. Jason picks a fight with a bystander, first throwing his food at him. And then he throws a dog poo trash bag at the guy. It may be gross, but it’s a great demonstration of how granular the gameplay systems have become.
iGrandTheftAuto also confirmed from the episode credits that it is authentic footage from the game. This product placement is obviously closer to GTA’s core audience, but it could reach lapsed gamers as well as the Extended Look too.
