Jason Schreier shared a detail about GTA 6’s development, which also appears to be in dispute.

He said this in his latest video:
Something that happened is that these three guys; Rob Nelson, Aaron Garbut, and Phil Hooker all became, quote, “head of development” on this game.
They all shared that title and as a result this was a production where the three of them were making decisions together and it was kind of a little bit of a committee making decisions.
And sometimes, at least the perception from the ground level, was that they would make conflicting decisions. There would be indecisions.
Jason asked Rob about this directly, who replied he didn’t believe that it was actually the case.
At least formally, Rob and Aaron are named as the co-developers of GTA 6. Phil Hooker is a technical director, but he is credited as one head of development on GTA V, at least according to Mobygames.
Jason seems to suggest that the GTA 6 team had design by committee, or at least that’s the sentiment they shared. Whether we feel that in the final product remains to be seen, but we won’t have that long to find out.
