PS5 gamers may have to wait for Forza Horizon 6 after all.
As reported by billbil-kun for Dealabs, Forza Horizon 6 is releasing on PS5 on January 26, 2027. He also points out that Tom Warren’s rumor was correct, and that the Playground Games post claiming it was still coming this year was incorrect.
He also claims that Forza Horizon 6 will have the same prices on PS5 as it did on Xbox Series X|S, and that it will have a physical disc release alongside a digital release.
Lastly, billbil-kunsays that XBOX and Playground Games will make the official announcement and open pre-orders this week. As of this writing it hasn’t happened yet.
Outside of XBOX and Playground Games failing to meet their commitment, it obviously makes sense to delay its PS5 release. XBOX and Playground does have to protect it from the hypercompetitive market this holiday, especially with GTA 6 coming next month.
