We now have more reason to believe that Evening Star is making the next Ape Escape.

When we initially reported on the rumor, the source was a heretofore unknown account named AsobiAr. They also pointed to circumstantial evidence to support their claim, making it seem quite wild.
But today, Video Games Chronicle corroborates this with their sources, and also cites Jeff Gerstmann, who has also confirmed it with his own sources. That makes for three independent sources, and while that doesn’t confirm it 100 %, it does increase its credibility.
Since AsobiAr proved their merit, we’re going to share more from another unknown source. Sarugearchive on Twitter claims that there are actually two Ape Escape games in the works, one of which is a party game made by former Bandai developers who made Doraemon games.
The latest Doraemon video games were crossovers with Story of Seasons released in 2019 and 2022. However, they were developed by Brownie and Marvelous, and Bandai Namco was only publisher.
There may be something lost in translation here, but a life sim Ape Escape could appeal to modern audiences.
