Ubisoft seems to be working on Watch Dogs, even if they won’t directly admit it.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot was asked about the franchise recently, and said this:
It’s not expected to [be] put… in a creative house for the moment, before it’s potentially remade.
That sounds like Ubisoft has no plans for the IP right now. But according to Insider Gaming, Ubisoft is quietly working on a remake of Watch Dogs Legion.
While the Watch Dogs games appear to be taking the GTA formula and applying it to hackers, Watch Dogs Legion takes it to an even more abstract level.
In this game you can recruit any NPC you run into in the game, even your enemies. The idea is you convince them to flip to your side, by professing the merits of DedSec, and completing missions for them.
Watch Dogs Legion split critics down the middle, as some felt the idea wasn’t fully realized, but some were satisfied with the game as is.
Insider Gaming says the Watch Dogs Legion remake will drop in early 2027. That may be enough time to win over players done with GTA 6, but we’ll see.
