Square Enix has decided to add a somewhat absurd, but helpful, feature for Final Fantasy VII Revelation.

As translated by Genki_JPN, director Naoki Hamaguchi revealed that they’re adding a character level skip option for players who want to skip the side missions.
Of course, we usually think of level skip in games like World of Warcraft, where you can pay for the boost to jump to the endgame.
In the case of Final Fantasy VII Revelation, Square Enix designed the game in such a way that players who only stick to the main mission find that their characters aren’t leveled up enough for the later parts of the game.
So this game will pop up with an option to automatically raise your characters up to the recommended level.
We’ll have to wait until the game releases to find out if the level skip is substantially better or worse than playing through the side missions. But the same issue with World of Warcraft’s level skip may come up here; the players may feel they didn’t earn it.
