Team Ninja is finally taking us to the era of the Three Kingdoms.

Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, the long awaited sequel to Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, is releasing on March 4, 2027. This time, the game is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, alongside PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It will also be Day One Game Pass.
Team Ninja first revealed the game in this year’s Xbox Games Showcase, but its pitch is very simple. If Wo Long is set during the fall of the Han dynasty, Wo Long 2 will actually be in the Three Kingdoms period.
Team Ninja pitches the notion of players joining Liu Bei to fight Cao Cao in settings like Changban and the Red Cliffs. But unlike Koei Tecmo’s other game in this setting, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Wo Long is still full of terrifying supernatural creatures.
There will also be online multiplayer, as you can fight and then team up with other players as you ‘recruit’ each other to join the fight against Cao Cao.
There’s a demo out now for PS5, PC, and Xbox. You can watch the announcement trailer below.
