After a week of GTA 6 leaks, Rockstar has shared a message on social media.

They said this:
Dear all,
We know that many of you have been waiting to hear from us regarding the events of the past week. It would be an understatement to say that having videos of Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay leak in this way has been heartbreaking for our team, and this is obviously not how we intended for you to see the game after all this time.
They then apologized for how long it has taken to make the game, as well sharing details about it with the community. They encouraged the community to watch the Netflix GTA 6: An Extended Look special, and thanked the fans who reached out to provide their support.
This lines up with what Jason Schreier claimed was the reaction behind the scenes at Rockstar. But this seemed to be a much needed reminder that the leaks were more than just sticking it to the big video game companies.
That statement makes it clear that these developers genuinely took pride in their work as creators, and they felt they lost control on how to reveal that hard work.
