We have an interesting new rumor about another potential cancelled Sony live service game.

As originally found by Drtre81, a former Grip Digital employee shared this in their LinkedIn profile:
Executive Producer
Feb 2026 – Mar 2026 . 2 mos
Project: Unannounced AAA PS5 Exclusive First-Person Shooter (SP/COOP)
Provided executive oversight for a high-profile AAA PlayStation 5 exclusive, ensuring alignment with platform-holder quality standards.
Managed strategic resource allocation and stakeholder relations during a critical development phase.
Led the professional wind-down and project assessment following a strategic pivot, focusing on risk mitigation and team transition.
Drtre81 believes the game is still on the way, which may be based on other information he has. But this description mentioned a wind-down, project assessment, and a strategic pivot, which all suggest that this project has been cancelled.
Grip is mostly known for porting games to consoles, but their original work includes puzzle game Unmechanical and roguelike shooter Mothergunship.
Of course, we all remember that Sony planned to make 12 live service games by this year. We can’t help wondering if this is one of those projects, whether it’s still in the works or not.
