Mojang has made things official for Nintendo Switch 2.

They made this announcement on their blog:
Queue the fanfare: Minecraft is coming for Nintendo Switch™ 2 on October 27th!
They also explained that Minecraft for Switch 2 will get Vibrant Visuals. They mention enhanced lighting and shadow effects, but we would love to learn details such as subsurface scattering and biome settings.
Mojang also promised that the Super Mario Mash-Up pack, which remains exclusive to Nintendo platforms, will get the Vibrant Visuals upgrade as well. This may be the one thing that Wii U owners were able to carry over across three console generations.
Speaking of which, Mojang also promised a digital upgrade path for Switch owners, but did not elaborate for now. While we don’t know if this will be a free or paid upgrade, we’re really more curious if Mojang added Mouse Mode support.
