Xbox and The Coalition have listened to Gears of War: E-Day’s fans.
They made this announcement on the Gears of War Twitter account:
We heard you. We acted. PvP Versus is coming to this weekend’s early access period for the Open Beta. Available for pre-download now.
The Coalition shared more details on their official blog. While Early Access starts tomorrow and goes until August 10, the free Open Beta starts on August 13 and runs until the 17th.
PvP Versus will have 2 modes and 2 maps, while PvE will be their most popular mode, Horde Siege.
If you did want to join Early Access, you can pre-order the game, or pick up a subscription to PC Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate.
And yes, it may be worth your while to pay extra to get into the open beta and play if you’re all in on Gears of War: E-Day. You can earn rewards such as skin sets and banners in the open beta, and these items will carry over to the full game.
