An old rumor about Uncharted 4 has resurfaced because of a recent interview with Kiwi Talkz, AKA Reece Reilly.

Reece scored an interview with Gabriel Betancourt, a former lighting artist at Naughty Dog. Gabriel shared a story that seemed awfully familiar.
Gabriel alludes to a game that was nearly three years in development, in a franchise with three successful games. While he doesn’t name the game, it sounds a lot like Uncharted.
The lead at the game was allegedly surrounded by yes men who were also complacent because of the IP’s success. Gabriel then shares that a director from another team took a look at the game, and told them “This game sucks,” describing what they did wrong in a way that angered the team.
Gabriel then claims corporate looked at the game, told the team they were in trouble, and replaced the current director with the one who said it sucked.
When Amy Hennig left Naughty Dog in 2014, a report claimed that Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley forced her out. However, Naughty Dog leadership denied this, and IGN itself disowned the report since.
Today, we can’t help but wonder what the real story is once again.
