We have some new rumors about the Steam Deck 2.

KeplerL2 made these claims on NeoGAF:
They were targeting 2028 AFAIK, but the whole RAM/NAND situation could delay it. Also since they don’t have a semi-custom SoC, unlike the PS6/Xbox if it gets delayed it could end up with better specs.
Last month, Valve reiterated their commitment to release the Steam Machine, Steam Frame, and the new Steam controller in 2026. So Valve certainly has their hands full for the next few months.
While Valve took an unusually long time to launch the Steam Deck, this included having to build infrastructure to distribute their hardware around the world. So the Steam Deck 2 should not go through the same struggles.
Of course, none of these tech companies can predict where the issues with RAM and other component supplies will go. As of right now, RAM prices are crashing back down, but they may not be returning to their original prices quite yet.
