The end of this month, gamers was supposed to see a release for SteamWorld Heist on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Turns out that the ports for this video game was hit with a delay, though only a slight delay. If you planned on picking the game up on May 31, 2016, you’ll now have to wait an additional week.
From development team Image & Form, SteamWorld Heist is a turn-based strategy, action-adventure game. Within the title, players control Captain Piper Faraday, a smuggler, and pirate that has a crew of robots. Players embark on an adventure of looting and battling other spaceships they may come across during their journey.
SteamWorld Heist already released for the Nintendo 3DS last year, 2015. However, the game was receiving some ports on the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4 that would include new HD textures and gameplay that could run in 60 FPS.
While initially the development team hoped to release the game at the end of this month, May 31, 2016. The game was delayed for one week, in which the development team can further prepare the title for localization, publishing, and quality assurance issues.
Currently, SteamWorld Heist is set to release for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita starting on Jun 7, 2016, for North America, while Europe and Australia will receive the game on June 8, 2016.
