Rockstar has successfully filed the trademark for GTA VI in Brazil.

As reported by local game news site Viciados, Rockstar filed for the trademark in 2024. The country’s trademark agency, the Instituto Nacional da Propriedade Industrial (INPI), just published the trademark.
While Rockstar isn’t done with the registration process, this allows them to use the words GTA VI to advertise the game in Brazil now. They’re also allowed to use the trademark in licensed merchandise.
The trademark will be good for ten years.
Fans can take this as the sign that Rockstar is serious about publishing GTA VI soon. Now, this does not guarantee that there will be any more delays.
But it’s still a sign that they’re making preparations to release the game this year. We now see that Rockstar is preparing marketing and promotions for the game around the world.
If a delay happens now, it’ll be a significant expense to Rockstar and Take-Two. But we can take this as a sign that they’re confident that GTA VI is close to the finish line now.
