It looks like Rockstar Games could be facing new competition.
As shared on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit by KekanKok, extas1s claimed in his latest YouTube that Elsewhere Entertainment is making a GTA competitor. Earlier, it was rumored that Activision’s studio was making an open world multiplayer game last March 2025.
But now we have a clearer acknowledgement that they’re going after Rockstar’s crown. Now, it won’t be exactly like GTA, as it will have fantasy elements.
But Elsewhere’s game will still have a modern setting, using realistic vehicles and destruction physics.
The combat system will incorporate magic with parkour, melee, and weapons, and it will have a stat system like every good action RPG.
But the most interesting part is it will be multiplayer, meaning it may be going after specifically GTA Online.
Of course, Rockstar is already releasing GTA 6 soon. If this game comes out, it may copy or react to this newer GTA. But we probably won’t see it until a few years after.
