Nate the Hate has namedropped some more AAAs that could be coming to the Switch 2.
As explained in the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit by Kmoosetoe, Nate revealed that he heard that Final Fantasy 16, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and Metaphor ReFantazio are coming to Switch 2 this year.
Nate clarified that Square Enix is putting Final Fantasy 16 under consideration for now, but it could at least be announced this year.
We know that the Switch 2 is very capable hardware that can outperform the Xbox Series S in some situations.
Last year, there was an alleged ongoing issue with Nintendo unable to supply Switch 2 dev kits to all third parties. Nintendo never confirmed the issue but it has also allegedy been resolved.
There’s also some uncertainty if third party games can really be successful on the Switch 2, but the tide may already be turning on that account.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade director Naoki Hamaguchi acknowledged that the Switch 2 version was sold out across US retailers, and revealed it was also selling out worldwide.
