It sounds like two games have been leaked for Gamecube Switch Online, and ironically, this may disappoint fans.

As reported by Nintendo Life, a promotional image made by Walmart shows several games for the Switch Online subscription.
Most of the games in the picture have already released on Switch Online. However, it also included two games that weren’t added yet, and they were Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Pikmin 2.
The reason this is disappointing some fans is they think this may mean that Nintendo is not releasing a remaster of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes anymore.
“Kiwi Talkz” Reece Reilly claims that Metroid Prime Remastered barely broke even, implying Nintendo planned to remaster the other games too but changed their mind.
However, we need to remind everyone that Nintendo released Pikmin 2, and the rest of the Pikmin franchise, for Nintendo Switch. It’s absolutely possible that they will release these games on GameCube Switch Online, and also get remasters.
Lest we forget, we don’t know if Walmart made this image or if it was a real accidental leak. So these games may not even go to Switch Online in the first place.
