Footage of Project Blackbird has surfaced online.

Project Blackbird was a 3rd person looter shooter with AAA production values developed by ZeniMax Online, the studio that works on The Elder Scrolls Online.
This game was never officially announced, but was cancelled in July 2025. Everything that we know about this project was essentially leaked.
Insider Gaming claims that the newly leaked two minute video is legitimate. It’s a demo of the game’s lighting system in Unreal 4.
The video shows that Project Blackbird had a cyberpunk aesthetic, complete with a neon lit city steeped in darkness.
Insider Gaming also claims that Microsoft Gaming executives were impressed by the game mere months before it was cancelled.
Matt Firor revealed earlier this year he left over Project Blackbird’s cancellation. As best as we can tell, this is the first time a dev who worked on the game went public about it.
With this demo getting leaked, we may be set to see more leaked details and assets from the game soon.
