Grand Theft Auto Michael De Santa Actor Ned Luke Was Swatted Again Over The Holidays

January 2, 2026 by Ryan Parreno

I don’t think these people can call themselves fans anymore.

Ned Luke, the actor behind Michael De Santa, has been swatted once again.

GTA 6 Countdown shared the 411 on the last day of 2025:

GTA 5’s Michael actor, Ned Luke was swatted again around Christmas during a livestream with John Marston’s actor, Rob Wiethoff.

Luckily, the cops are aware of the situation and they just wished him a merry Christmas, shook hands and left.

They also linked to the livestream where this happened. We won’t embed the two hour stream here so you can jump to the timestamp of the incident itself here.

GTA 6 Countdown also shared news on the first swatting he experienced in November 2023. While he shrugged it off at the time, it’s clear that he took the incident very seriously.

On December 27, Ned shared a screenshot of a court document about his swatter.

The Columbia Department of Justice notified Ned that his swatter is scheduled to be sentenced on January 27, 2026. Ned capped it off with a caption fitting of the de Santas themselves:

Fuck around and find out.  Many more names discovered and provided.

Should Rockstar Have Been Involved?

At this point, you may be wondering if Rockstar should have been involved, or if they should involve themselves now. We recently reported on Rockstar possibly still having FBI/CIA level security, even hiring their own private detectives.

In November 2023, Ned defended Rockstar on this. Some fans accused Rockstar of allowing people to see his IP address because he was playing Grand Theft Auto Online.

He made it clear that there were people who leaked his private information years ago, and that’s why he has been getting swatted ever since. In Ned’s words:

Y’all jumping to some large ass conclusions. This had nothing to do with Rockstar. These assholes leaked my private info years ago and have been doing this shit since. Anyone’s info is available online if you are sick enuff to really wanna find it.

Rockstar added BattlEye anticheat in September 2024. Some fans dispute if BattlEye is effective in protecting players, but Ned’s explanation makes it clear it’s no longer about Rockstar and its games anymore.

Swatting Is A Growing Real Life Concern

As explained by the National Association of Attorneys General in a 2025 blog post, there has been a marked increase in swatting incidents since 2024. It’s an issue that goes beyond one Grand Theft Auto voice actor.

There are some legislators proposing laws to address the issue, but for now, individual police departments need to be careful, as they were in this recent case.

We wish Ned the best in seeking out these newer swatters and making them held accountable as well.
