GTA Online Slasher Featured Series Event Is Now Live

October 30, 2025 by Dennis Patrick

Be on the lookout!

Grand Theft Auto fans are all waiting eagerly for the arrival of Grand Theft Auto VI. This new installment has been on the minds of players worldwide for a few years now. We know it’s coming and that we should have it in our hands this coming year. That said, there’s still plenty of incentives given out to keep players enjoying Los Santos a little while longer in GTA Online.

Many games are hosting events to celebrate and embrace the Halloween season. It’s all about bringing some new spooky content to raise your hair and get your heart pounding. So if you’re up for the challenge, Rockstar Games has been throwing a few things your way through GTA Online.

GTA Online Slashers Are Back

Tomorrow is the big day. Halloween will kick off, and the last featured series for GTA Online begins today. Slashers have made their way back into the game. It’s not a brand-new event, as we’ve seen Slashers in previous years. For a reminder, this is an event that will randomly spawn in a “Slasher” to haunt a player. There are a few criteria in place, such as a player being in the lobby for at least 16 minutes, and they must be in freeroam.

However, if a Slasher hits them, there will be a new enemy NPC with buffed health and a melee weapon that will attempt to kill you. They won’t be easily killed, and they’ll follow you until they either kill you, you manage to slaughter them, or if time runs out. However, there’s a chance that another Slasher could take its place later on.

This event kicked off today, if you’re looking to partake in the fun. Fortunately, it doesn’t end directly after Halloween. Rockstar Games is going to let this carry on a while longer, as you’ll have until November 5, 2025, before it comes to an end.

So if you’re looking for a battle, it might be time to head into the virtual streets of Los Santos. Who knows what Slasher might pop in and try to hunt you down?
