A brand new video game by development team Sloclap was revealed through a press release by Devolver Digital. This is an upcoming combat RPG filled with a mysterious past for our main protagonist. Take a look at the reveal trailer for Absolver posted up above.
Absolver takes place within the ruins of a fallen empire known as Adal. Players will awaken with a mysterious mask placed on their face. With only faint recollections of an esoteric ceremony, you quickly realize that you were saved by the Guides, the rulers of these lands.
Recognized for their talents, the Guides have placed new prospects into the Adal empire lands in hopes to find those who are worthy of becoming part of the elite corps of Absolvers. Players will wander across the lands and will be forced in fighting other prospects like yourself. It’s only through progression will players learn brand new combat styles, acquire weapons, gear, armor, and build a team of warriors who will fight alongside you in the Arenas of combat.
For now, Absolver is slated to release at some point next year, 2017. The game will also be releasing for both the PC and console platform though it’s not detailed as to what specific consoles will be receiving the game.
