Huge Crytek Announcement Due in April, Crysis 3?

March 12, 2012 by Jacob Saylor

In a GDC interview last week, Nick Button-Brown – Crytek’s GM of Games – talked on an upcoming title slated for an April unveiling.

“There are so many things I can’t talk about,” said Button-Brown in the tight-lipped fashion we have come to expect from so many developers.

“We still want to deliver the highest quality that we can, wherever we go – you know about Homefront [2], you know about Ryse. We are working on another project.” It seems like the studio has a bright future ahead of it, as all three titles mentioned here are quite ambitious. He then continued: “The other project looks absolutely fantastic – I mean, genuinely the best of that kind of project we’ve ever done.

He also alluded to how happy the team was to be working on something so fresh and new, saying, “It looks spectacular, the team are doing really, really well and it's just really nice to see the team really enthusiastic about what they're doing. They're really happy.”

It was confirmed last month in an EA job listing that Crytek was hiring for a new title, so it’s obvious an announcement is coming, and furthermore, another awesome game!
