Some dataminers found a really unusual item that could be your favorite weapon for Grand Theft Auto 6.

As reported by GamingBible, some data suggests that Lucia and Jason could run all over Leonida packing a harpoon. The data suggests you can get a harpoon with your fishing rod.
Who Uses A Harpoon As A Weapon?
As you can imagine, harpoon gun kills are a thing in the movies, especially for slasher films.
But we can focus on the most famous uses of this item, and they’re as different as you can imagine.
James Bond has used spearguns, and henchmen in the Bond movies have threatened Bond and others with them as well.
They have appeared in six Bond movies. Notably, Bond does the deed himself in two of them. Sean Connery gets in a giant speargun battle in 1965’s Thunderball.
And then, in 1977, Roger Moore takes over to spear two guards onboard the Liparus in The Spy Who Loved Me.
As you probably expected more, Freddy Krueger uses a harpoon for an infamous kill in 1987’s A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.
All things considered, we think you’re more likely to look like a serial killer than a debonair spy bringing that harpoon gun to threaten and kill other career criminals. Even more so if you decide to do some ‘free form’, ‘open world’ activities of your own.
Apparently This Was A Mandela Effect Thing?
Maybe this shouldn’t surprise anyone. But there are a few players who were sure they played a mission where Michael used a harpoon gun or spear gun in Grand Theft Auto 5.
MikeToy713 posted this in the Mandela Effect subreddit:
I remember when GTA5 first came out on the PS3, I played a mission where you’re underwater and you had a Harpoon Gun or maybe it was a Spear Gun that you could use underwater.
Now I can’t seem to find anything about a Harpoon Gun or a Spear Gun ever even being in the game. But I remember the weapon so clearly, it was one of Michael’s mission.
What Does Rockstar Want Us To Do With The Harpoon Gun?
We can’t disregard that Rockstar has something else in mind by giving us these harpoon guns. We don’t think they will block you from using these guns on missions.
But they could be planning some amazing side missions and activities with them. Harpoons were created to hunt large sea animals, such as whales, tuna, swordfish, and sharks.
Well, we think some players will have more distaste for whaling than manhunting. But this could turn out to be a big side activity for Grand Theft Auto Online too.
