Octodad: Dadliest Catch Trailer Is a Bit Fishy

To date, Octodad remains the single best game ever made about an octopus disguising himself as a human. I know that's a bold statement to make, but really, let's face facts here. The stealth octopus genre was getting stale, and Octodad was just the revolutionary kick in the pants it needed to get back on track. That's why I'm delighted to report that a sequel is on the way.

Following a Kickstarter campaign that raised nearly $25,000, student team turned indie developer Young Horses has unveiled Octodad: Dadliest Catch with a trailer that's every bit as silly and innovative as the original game. Dadliest Catch looks to build on the objective-based 3D segments of the original with some new types of gameplay, including a ludicrous looking 2D platforming segment.

The good news? Octodad: Dadliest Catch will be coming to PC, Mac, and Linux, meaning you've got absolutely no excuse not to give it a shot. The bad news? The game won't be out until 2013, so we're in for a long wait before we can indulge our cephalopodic dreams once again.
