The latest generation of console gaming has been around for a few years now, but we’re sure that some consumers are just getting into the latest era of gaming this year. We have some heavy-hitting games slated to launch throughout the 2025 calendar year that could entice more players to make the jump on the latest consoles. However, Sony might be making a move to sell more units of their PlayStation 5 by attaching one of the big hits from 2024.
Thanks to VGC, we’re finding out that industry insider billlbil-kun has recently brought up word on a new PlayStation 5 bundle. This bundle has yet to be officially confirmed. However, if true, the game that will come packed with the system is Astro Bot. That game was a huge hit on the PlayStation 5, and with the amount of praise and awards it received last year, it could be the game that might finally get some consumers to purchase the console.
While the details are only rumors for now, this bundle is said to include a standard PlayStation 5 with a disc drive and a redemption code for a digital copy of Astro Bot. However, you won’t find the special edition Astro Bot DualSense controller inside the box. Instead, it’s said that you’ll be dealing with a standard DualSense.
Furthermore, the console will apparently come at a discount compared to a standard disc drive PlayStation 5 console, but there’s no concrete price point right now on just how much this console will cost. Meanwhile, there is a release window of around March 13, 2025. So, if this is the case, we shouldn’t wait too long before we can get official word on this new bundle.
