Sony Drops Teaser For Upcoming PlayStation 5 Games In February

February 3, 2025 by Todd Black

There are some big ones for you to get!

With every month that passes, we must look forward to the newest month and ask ourselves what games will we be playing within it? It’s not a trick question, for the record. Almost every month has at least one big title on some level for fans to enjoy, even if it’s not for “all fans.” The PlayStation 5, for example, has some titles coming out that may not be exclusive, but they are big games nonetheless, and they are ones that appeal to many different genres of gaming. So, allow us to break down some of the biggest ones.

You can see the first list in the tweet below, but a big game is coming out tomorrow via Kingdom Come II: Deliverance. The game is a full-on sequel to the hit open-world game, and it intends to outdo the original in every way imaginable. First, the scale of the open world will be far grander this time around, allowing you to roam free for as long as you can on foot or on horse. Plus, you’ll find another deep story about a young man thrown into a violent life and the many choices that he’ll have to make along the way.

Then, just one week later, Civilization VII arrives. This is the highly-anticipated new entry in the worldbuilding series that continues to grow and evolve, gaining even more fans with each edition it does. The title from Firaxis promises to offer not only new options for you to partake in but also grander events, scenarios, and branching paths that can lead to entirely new results in each playthrough. Plus, it’s voiced by Gwendoline Christie! That alone is worth the price of admission.

The final game that PlayStation 5 fans will be happy about is that on February 28th, the literal last day of the month, Monster Hunter Wilds will finally be released. Yes, the highly-anticipated title, which may already be a frontrunner for “Game of the Year,” is Capcom’s next entry in the beloved RPG series. Yes, it is an RPG series, just one that features far more grinding than usual.

Capcom knows that this series is on fire, given that the last two games alone sold many millions a piece. So, with even more power in the systems it will be on, like the PS5, they’re pushing the visuals and gameplay to the limit, including drop-in and drop-out co-op play!

Between these three games and others that will be released, PS5 fans will find something to enjoy.
