I’m sure you are all very aware of the wildfires that have hit the LA area. It’s a massive disaster that continues to spread as crews of first responders fight to take control of the area. There’s no shortage of reports surfacing online as to what areas have become devastated, with fires destroying everything in their path. As a result, several productions have ended for now, with the second season of Fallout being on the list.
Fallout aired on Amazon Prime Video and proved to be another solid adaptation that veteran fans of the franchise and newcomers alike enjoyed. It wasn’t long after the first season that we learned that a new season was inbound, and filming had already begun for the production. Thanks to Eurogamer, we’re learning that with the holidays, the second season was set to begin this week; however, due to the LA wildfires that started to spread rapidly, various studios were forced to shut down.
With the air quality unsafe and the fires still not in control, there’s no date yet on when productions will resume. We’ve already seen several areas get hit by these fires, and even more iconic locations are in danger of being burned down. Of course, we’re hopeful that firefighters will be able to take control of these various wildfires as soon as possible.
Furthermore, we’ll have to wait to see when Fallout and other productions can resume. However, the priority is to ensure the streets are clear for first responders and that people are safely evacuated. Perhaps we’ll learn more today from the firefighters working around the clock on just how much of the fires have been contained.
