Arma 3 Delayed, Community Alpha Announced

February 24, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

Arma 3 gets delayed, but it’s for a good reason.

First the bad news: Arma 3 is delayed. Bohemia's Daniel Musil says that the game needs more bug-testing and polish because they're willing to put the game out. There's no word on how long the delay will last, but you shouldn't count on the game coming out this year.

And now for the good news: Arma 3's developers knows its community wants to experience the game early, so they've decided to set up a "Community Alpha" event that begins in June.

"The Community Alpha will be quite limited in terms of the assets it includes, with the goal of providing enough content to experiment with the brand new bits of gameplay and technology," said Musil.

Arma 3 supports DX10/11, and comes with a redesigned UI, and better animations for its characters.

More good news: They've also released screenshots for you to check out here.
